Chrissy Costanza and Los Angeles-based VOILÀ dropped by DC9 on October 11th, as part of the Spin the Bottle Tour, for over two hours of essential pop rock music. They were joined by Ally Nicholas as the opener. My primary task was to review Chrissy’s contributions, but given the nature of the show, I included VOILÀ as well.

Land of Talk brought their A game to DC9 on April 11th, giving the large crowd (almost sold out) a beauty of an evening, with Canadian rock music and as you may have guessed, talk.

When local bands can headline at the 9:30 Club, it’s a fun treat and highlights the power of the fans elevating bands to new heights. Add the fact that the 9:30 Club was almost sold out (some were also there for the opener, Jeff Draco) speaks volumes to how far The Crystal Casino Band has come in their eight years of existence.
