HopFest proved to be a fun beer festival, made all the better because it focused on local breweries only (those in DC, MD and VA).

The premiere craft beer festival of the season in DC did not disappoint! Both the beer and food was fantastic again at SAVOR 2018. I tried all 60 of the beers with an Untappd score of 4 or more and 53 earned a rating 4+ from me.
We attended SAVOR on its first night, Friday, June 1st.

On March 2 & 3, Aslin Beer Company (Herndon, VA) did a pop-up bar/restaurant in Brookland’s District Space.

The 2017 Snallygaster, the self-described “Beastly Beer Jamboree,” was bigger than ever with over 400 beers. It seems like every year there are more and better beers, because there are. The participating breweries really brought their A-games with a host of extremely rare beers. Several gems weren’t even listed ahead of time and had to be discovered by exploring or talking to fellow craft-beer fans.
