
The celebration for the Year of the Anacostia continues with the 9th annual Kingman Island Bluegrass & Folk Festival (KIBFF).
The Bluegrass Festival, on Saturday, June 9th, started in 2010 and is now one of the premier events in the city and draws folks from all over the country.
The festival will feature 30+ bands on 5 stages, a kids zone, food trucks, Tito’s Vodka cocktails, Sierra Nevada and Atlas Brew Works beer. Headlining the kids zone is local fave Baba Ras D. Among the featured artists are Jonny Grave and Odetta Hartman.

Remember, this is a zero waste event: no glass or one-time use plastic bottles, containers, etc. You will be provided a reusable cup for beer but should bring an EMPTY reusable bottle for water.
KIBFF benefits Living Classrooms of the National Capital Region which maintains the islands and works to educate disadvantaged youth in the region through job training and hands-on environmental education.
