It’s fair time!
The 2018 edition of the DC State Fair will take place next to the Waterfront Metro Station in SW on Sunday, September 23rd!
Why attend a ‘state’ fair in DC? It’s free for one. Plus the name is inspirational. We like the aspiration that one day DC will become a state.
You can experience lots of homegrown art and food and the many other talents of residents in DC.
There will be plenty of food trucks and food vendors, local businesses and artists, plus non-profits and local government organizations like DDOT and Public Works.
And no true state fair is complete without contests!
Enter the Homebrew Contest in six different categories of beer. Or try the Cider, Biscuit, Donut and Chili contests, among many others.
There’s also a Pet Parade with pet-themed contests.
