Which concerts will you attend in the next two months?

Wow is it hot out! That said, we have a bunch of big names set to perform at the myriad of outdoor venues near DC, so you may want to actually brave the nasty humidity.

I personally don’t get to the outdoor venues in Virginia and Maryland too often, but don’t worry, even if you can’t make it, there are still plenty of air-conditioned concerts this summer!

Here is our list of 10 concerts (with a few bonus shows) we’re looking forward to in July and August.

Foo Fighters @ Merriweather Post Pavilion (7/6/18) (Note: The Struts open! If there ever was a reason to leave the confines of DC for music, this is it.)

Pearl Charles @ Black Cat (7/18/18) Preview

Arcade Fire @ Jiffy Lube Live (7/20/18) (Note: I haven’t seen them live yet, but the suburbs are so far!)

Weezer @ Jiffy Lube Live (7/22/18) (Note: I last saw them at Firefly Music Festival 2014, say it ain’t so.)

Courtney Barnett @ The Anthem (7/24/18) (Note: This should be a good show, last time she toured in DC with Kurt Vile.)

The xx @ 9:30 Club (7/25-7/27/18) Preview (Note: #1 on this list as another band I haven’t seen live!)

Metric @ Royal Farms Arena (7/27/18) Review of Emily Haines in 2017 (Note: Metric is back! In Baltimore!)

Arctic Monkeys @ The Anthem (7/28 & 7/29/18)

Cake @ Merriweather Post Pavilion (8/18/18) (Note: It’s been six years since I saw them, I’m going the distance!)

Beach House @ The Anthem (8/25/18)

#11 is a Festival!

Appaloosa Festival @ Skyline Ranch Resort (8/31-9/2/18) (Note: With Scythian and Mandolin Orange, this will be fun.)

Feeling lucky? Five bonus shows!

Shannon & The Clams @ U Street Music Hall (7/26/18)

Bully @ The Anthem (8/2/18)

Alex Lahey @ Rock and Roll Hotel (8/8/18) Concert Review from 2017

Wild Rivers @ Union Stage (8/9/18) Concert Review from 2017

Ambrosia @ Bethesda Jazz & Blues (8/18/18)
