Which concerts will you attend in the next two months?

The summer is shaping up to be a busy time for concerts in the DC area!

With so many concerts to choose from, it was too much of a chore to narrow it down to 10. So we upped the game this round and listed 15 shows and a few bonus shows we’re looking forward to in May and June.

HAIM @ The Anthem (5/1/18) Preview

Tokyo Police Club @ 9:30 Club (5/2/18)

Alice in Chains @ The Anthem (5/3/18) Note: I have never witnessed them live, and should correct that. I’ve been reluctant to get on board with a lead singer that is not Layne Staley.

Alvvays @ 9:30 Club (5/8/18) (Preview and Previous Review)

The Kills @ Lincoln Theatre (5/14/18) Preview

King Tuff @ Rock and Roll Hotel (5/16/18) Preview

The Longshot @ Black Cat (5/25/18) Note: Billie Joe Armstrong’s new band?! Let’s do it!

10,000 Maniacs @ The Birchmere (5/27/18) Note: These are days to see the band live for the first time, even without Natalie Merchant.

Gaslight Anthem @ 9:30 Club (5/28/18)

Jack White @ The Anthem (5/29 & 5/30/18) Note: Stoked, haven’t seen Jack since the 2012 Firefly Music Festival.

The Regrettes @ Black Cat (6/6/18)

Daryl Hall & John Oates @ Capital One Arena (6/11/18)

U2 @ Capital One Arena (6/17 & 6/18/18) Note: Wow, I realize I haven’t seen U2 for almost 20 years!

Paramore @ Merriweather Post Pavilion (6/23/18) Note: I’m sad I can’t go to this show, they kicked ass last year at MGM National Harbor.

The Naked and Famous @ Union Stage (6/23/18) Note: This will be great.

Now Festivals!

Kingman Island Bluegrass & Folk Festival (6/9/18)

Firefly Music Festival @ The Woodlands in Dover, DE 6/14-6/17/18) Preview

How about five bonus shows?

Sloan @ Rock and Roll Hotel (5/11/18) Preview

Wye Oak @ 9:30 Club (5/11/18)

Goodnight Moonshine @ Pearl Street Warehouse (5/31/18)

Sunflower Bean @ Rock and Roll Hotel (6/2/18)

Middle Kids @ Rock and Roll Hotel (6/15/18)

Rock on!
