Little Hurricane, a blues rock duo from San Diego, descends on Songbyrd Music House on Wednesday, April 12th. And you should be there.
Their third album, Same Sun Same Moon, comes out on April 14th.
The band formed in 2010 (via Craigslist – good things can happen) when Celeste ‘CC’ Spina (drums, vocals) put out an ad and found Anthony ‘Tone’ Catalano (guitar, vocals). Six years later and three albums recorded, they also got married.
New songs from Same Sun Same Moon, like “OTL” and “Isn’t It Great” are good indicators of their American rock style with a blues undertone, and the songs are good too!
While giving some of their earlier songs a listen, so far I’ve enjoyed “Sheep in Wolves Clothes” and “Haunted Heart”.
Occasionally I’m reminded of a Black Keys riff (which is good). Looking forward to catching them live.
Tickets are $15. Doors open at Songbyrd Music House at 7pm, show starts at 8pm (the opener is Jennifer Hall). See you there.
