Part of the reason this blog exists, is to find and share about cool or strange things in the city we think we know. The feature – Deciphering DC  – attempts to achieve that.

There is a grove of trees on the National Mall, off the beaten path, that is just secluded enough to give you the sense you may have stepped outside of DC. You haven’t.

Do This: Union Market Drive-In Movie Series (Starts 4/7/17)

Union Market’s drive-in movies are back! Starting this Friday, April 7th through early November, this once a month event lets you witness a movie outside in the elements in the early evening.

Walk-ups are free, while cars cost $10 per car. Food and libations are available from the many vendors in the market.
