Beer, beer, delicious beer, all week!
The 13th annual DC Beer Week hits the fair city of DC all this week, between September 19 and 26, hosted by the DC Brewers’ Guild.
A few ‘pre’ events already happened over the weekend. Also, Aslin Beer Company opened their new DC location, so we’ll look at that later. And we will get to try the new beer from the newest brewery in DC, Urban Garden Brewing. As usual, there will be tons of events hosted by our local breweries, and other local places.
Here is just a sampling of the promising events coming, but there are many more!
* Battle Of The Barrel-Aged Beers VIII @ Boundary Stone Public House (9/21/21) – A competition featuring last year’s champion Port City and six other local breweries.
* Snallygaster Sightings @ The Roost (9/23/31) – A no admission chance to try a few of the rarer beers that will be pouring at this year’s Snallygaster, including from Scratch Brewing Company (IL), Jester King Brewery (TX), The Rare Barrel (CA) and Southern Grist Brewing Co. (TN).
* 3 Stars Oktoberfest (9/25/21) – Try their new Festbier and brats from Meats & Foods!
* Right Proper (Shaw) Block Party (9/25/21) – This includes the release of the beer Collective Consciousness (a collaboration with with An Indivisible Art Collective), 5 local bands will play in front Howard Theatre, and the first release from the newest black-owned brewery in DC, Urban Garden Brewing.
See the full list of events as they are posted here.
The DC Beer Week’s official beer is still called Solidarity, this year’s version is an East Coast IPA, brewed by Right Proper in collaboration with many local breweries. This will be available to purchase around DC.
