Support independent craft breweries all week!

I don’t know about you, but I’ve been drinking A LOT of local beer since the shut-down in DC in order to support our local craft breweries. It’s a small act, but if we all participate, it could be big for the survival of our beloved breweries.

This week is the annual American Craft Beer Week®, between May 11-17th. Normally you could join all kinds of fun events around town, but due to COVID-19, instead this year you can focus on buying and sampling new beers from your DC breweries, and others in the DMV area.

We have tried some excellent beers from many local breweries so far in 2020, and have highlighted stand-outs from DC Brau, Hellbender and Red Bear. (Reviews)

One idea is to order the new Beered in DC Saison brewed by Right Proper Brewing Company, in collaboration with @BarredinDC and @LostLagers. After 16 ratings, it has a roburst Untappd Rating of 4.08. As of now, Beered in DC is currently out of stock so you may need to extend this celebration week slightly before you can purchase it again.

As part of the Week, you can give a beer! Be kind and share! Commit to Give Craft Beer

About American Craft Beer Week: Small and independent craft brewers have made America’s beer culture the richest in the world – in flavor, in hops and in spirit! Celebrate those whose imagination and drive for independence have turned beer upside down, with week-long events showcasing all things grain, hop, yeast and water. American Craft Beer Week gives seasoned beer lovers and anyone curious about craft beer the chance to discover more and support their local breweries and beer businesses.
