A virtual beer festival? Let’s do this!
Normally we’d be eagerly anticipating the annual Maryland Craft Beer Festival in Fredrick, MD, meant to be held on Saturday, May 9th. Well, as with all events the in-person variety is cancelled and we have to resign ourselves to enjoying beer on our couches.
BUT why not join the virtual beer celebration that Brewers Association of Maryland (BAM) will organize via YouTube?
For a few hours on Saturday, you can chat with local Maryland brewers and owners, enjoy live virtual music, and participate in contests.
This beer festival will help raise funds for Maryland’s craft beer industry. Support your local breweries!
The panel sessions will break down into discussions focused on specific beer categories. The BAM website has a list of likely beers you can pair with your participation. You have time to acquire those from your local breweries or craft beer sellers via pickup or delivery.
We suggest you especially give the beers from Astro Lab Brewing (Silver Spring) and Sapwood Cellars (Columbia) a day in court.
The virtual beer festival is FREE, but you can support BAM as a ‘Producer’ here.
May 9th from 2:00-5:30pm
A good resource to check on beer availability is Biermi.
