Fire up your YouTubes at 4pm on Thursday, April 30th, and catch a virtual listening party of Diet Cig’s new album, Do You Wonder About Me? (via Frenchkiss Records). Their second album will be released on May 1st, you can preorder it here.
Diet Cig is a pop punk duo from New York that started in 2014 comprised of Alex Luciano (vocals and guitar) and Noah Bowman (drums).
After listening to Do You Wonder About Me? both Alex and Noah will be available for a Q&A.
“Who Are You?” is their latest single, with Alex belting out strong syncopated lyrics, and Noah adding in a mix of heavy drums. The songs mixes between slow interludes of pop and amped up, fuzzy moments of rock. Pretty cool track from the album that speaks to betrayal and not keeping promises from someone that never learns.
Thursday’s listening party should be a great preview!
Diet Cig’s original live concert at the Black Cat was postponed, and thankfully has been rescheduled for November 3rd. (Tickets @ Black Cat, $20)
