Songs to get you through the pandemic.

DC’s Broke Royals were set to have a Vinyl Release Party of their latest album, Saint Luxury, last week at Songbyrd Music House, but of course those plans are on hold as we hunker down for COVID-19. This is the first time they’ve offered an album in vinyl.
Since you can always use more music listening options, now is a good time to highlight their newest single from Saint Luxury.
Released in January, “Love & Tatters” is an earnest pop track that speaks to a messy love story. The pounding drums, then the opening melody of Philip Basnight’s heart-rending lyrics sucks you in, and the crescendo of the chorus ‘We’re in love, we’re in tatters’ makes for an electrifying listening experience.
