One of your favorite local bands is performing again, this time at the enviable Pie Shop on February 22nd!
Broke Royals will bring their alternative and pop sounds, supporting their most recent album, Saint Luxury. The album is about an angel, and the description goes: ‘The album’s fictional heroine, Saint Luxury, leaves heaven, tired of being fed all the “answers”, in pursuit of a life of questions, luxury, and champagne.’
Their brand new single, “Love & Tatters” (215 views as of today!), is a sleek pop song of love lost. “Bad Chemicals” is an uplifting call to focus on the effects of PSTD in Veterans.
Broke Royals are from DC and have been around for a few years, garnering much praise and filling up some of DC’s finest smaller venues (like DC9 and now Pie Shop). The band is Philip Basnight, Colin Cross, Ben Wilson and Taimir Gore.
Also, read our brief interview with them from last year, that speaks a bit more about their album.
Of course you should get your tickets here.
Tickets are $10. Doors at Pie Shop open at 7:30pm. Show at 8pm. Openers are Not Your Groupies and Luke James Shaffer.
