Sondra Sun-Odeon will be performing for you at Slash Run on January 16th.
Local DC post punk band Time is Fire will open.
Sondra is based in both LA and NY, is a classically trained pianist and plays the guitar. Her sound is a mix of many elements including, noise rock, and shoegaze.
She is touring for her new album Desyre (via Graceface).
The song “Desyre” gives a driving rock vibe, with a sludgy bass line and tight drum beats. I was sold on the show within the first few bars.
Other songs include ambient musings of heartbreak and noise rock bursts of conviction like in her newest single, “Roses In The Snow”. Her songs give one a sense of melancholy.
If you are trying to get around to all of DC’s music venues and Slash Run has missed your attention so far, this will be an excellent time to head up to Petworth area and check out a show.
Have a listen and get your tickets at the door on the day of the show (bring cash!) or in advance here.
Tickets are $10. Show at the Slash Run starts at 8pm. Time is Fire is opening.
