The mighty Catfish and the Bottlemen come to The Anthem on September 29th, and tickets are still available!

They are touring on the strength of their third album, The Balance, which was released in April of this year.

The North Wales indie rock band is Van McCann (vocals), Johnny Bond (guitar), Benji Blakeway (bass) and Bob Hall (drums). The band’s name is fun to say, and exists from childhood memory of Van’s, a street performer he witnessed with the moniker Catfish the Bottleman.

Thee first single from The Balance, “Longshot”, is a great little rock song, highlighted by Van’s distinctive voice. Just digging into the new album, and so far enjoying the songs.

I first got into the band with their epic song “Soundcheck”, which I overplayed and then some. I’ve only caught them once live (at Firefly Music Festival in 2016), so looking forward to experiencing their full performance in the hallowed confines of The Anthem.

You should go as well!

Get your tickets here.

Tickets are $35. Doors open at The Anthem at 6:30pm. Show at 8pm. Opener is July Talk.
