DC Beer Week is over, but there are still more beer festivals on the horizon!
This year’s Go West Beer Fest is September 27th, once again held at Eastern Market.
Go West Beer Fest is sponsored by the local State Society chapters of seven West Coast states to celebrate beer from the Good Place, errr… West Coast. The seven states are Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Nevada, Montana, Colorado and the newly added Wyoming.
Aside from having a nice time sampling and hobnobbing with fellow West Coast enthusiasts, Go West serves as a fundraiser for the Wildland Firefighter Foundation, an organization that help the families of firefighters killed in the line of duty. Good cause, good beer, good people. Win/win/win.
Have a look at the list of breweries so far, including Seattle’s Fremont Brewery, who has made quite a splash in DC recently. (Like at SAVOR)
