La Cosecha’s (the new Latin market soon to open near Union Market) block party and concert is on September 7th! (Preview)

The Washington Monument will re-open on September 19th. (Website)

DC Beer Week is next week from September 8-15. So many beer events, like Aslin is turning 4 and Atlas Brew Works is turning 6. Plus many more. (Do Beer)

Lots of very fine, super awesome, excellent concerts this month! Damn!! (Top 15 Concerts)

9:30 Club’s The Truck (@930TheTruck) will bring you tickets. A mobile Box Office seems legit, a good way to avoid online fees. (Find them on Twitter)

Roy Boys 2 bring their fried chicken to Navy Yard. (Washingtonian)

Your Washington Spirit are battling for a playoff berth, and you can see them at Audi Field on 9/14.

DC gets a XFL (Xtreme Football League) team. The XFL recently unveiled the DC Defenders. The rebooted league will start in February 2020, just after the Super Bowl.

Bummers

Nah, it’s all good.

Well, RFK Stadium is officially slated for demolition in the next couple years. Is that bad? Nah, all good. But we will fondly remember D.C. United winning 4-3 on penalty kicks over the New England Revolution in the 2004 Eastern Conference semifinals. And maybe some of the parking lot concerts/music festivals, yeah a few of those. Otherwise, see ya RFK.
