Since I’m in Washington State right now, what better band to promote than Seattle’s Deep Sea Diver, who open for Joseph at the 9:30 Club on October 2nd.
Founded by Jessica Dobson (vocals, guitar), who formerly played guitar with The Shins among other bands, the indie rock band Deep Sea Diver is also Peter Mansen (drums), Garrett Gue (bass), and Elliot Jackson (guitar and synth).
They have a new album coming out in 2020, but for now revisit their brilliant album Secrets, from 2016. Secrets is full of epic guitar riffs and chill inducing soundscapes. Check out “Always Waiting” and “Wide Awake” to get started.
I first caught them live at DC9 in 2016 and became hooked, and saw them again a year later. Good to see them touring, and look forward to the show and the future album.
