According to NPS, the forecast for peak cherry blossom bloom is April 3-5 this year.

Every year, DC gets the opportunity to celebrate the history of our cherry blossoms, by honoring the Japanese culture in the form of a street festival.

The 59th annual Sakura Matsuri Street Festival will be held on April 13th along Pennsylvania Ave., right after the Cherry Blossom Parade

Touted as the largest one-day celebration of Japanese culture in the U.S., it will have food, live performances, art and exhibits.

The 2019 program is not yet available, but here is the 2018 program guide for reference.
