Big Deals
Red Bear Brewing has opened in NoMa! Verified open, and it is a great space, with plenty of room and cool art (like in the bathrooms). I liked most of the beers as well. (Website)
HopFest at DC Brau was a fun event, with a ton of excellent hoppy beers from only local breweries. (Review)

The Outsider on H Street NE opened and nice to see it’s getting some positive reviews. Has been on my list of places to try. Glad the space is occupied once again, I used to love SOVA back in the day. (Frozen Tropics)
3 Stars Brewery is planning to open its new 6,000 sq. ft. beer hall (next door) around May this year! (Washington City Paper)

The brick and mortar version of Stellina Pizzeria (next to Trader Joe’s near Union Market) is also just about to open. Lots of construction going on. (Website)
House of Representative endorse DC statehood for the first time! It’s a step. (DCist)

EatBar is closing today! Noooo! Sadly, I only went a couple times, but found their beer selection excellent. (Popville)
