Fall and leaf peeping are here, there’s still plenty of time to get outside and do some hikes in DC or in the surrounding forests of Maryland and Virginia.
On your off days from exploring, REI has a big list of free classes, events or discussions you can check out at the DC REI in NoMa (or other nearbly REI stores).
Of course, they also have a bunch of paid classes and walks as well, but they, especially the walks, seem a bit pricey.
