The electric lads are back!

MGMT comes to The Anthem on March 15th touring for their fourth album, Little Dark Age.

Released in February, songs from the album like “Me and Michael”, sound like something you could happily pull out of an 1980’s synth-pop compilation. Another like “Little Dark Age” is trippy, and dripping with pulsating synth beats.

MGMT is Andrew VanWyngarden and Ben Goldwasser. They are from Connecticut and formed while in college in 2002. In 2007 they broke out to great acclaim with catchy songs like “Time To Pretend”, “Kids”, and “Electric Feel” from their debut album Oracular Spectacular. Then, to be honest, I didn’t register much of their next two albums, but was able to see them live in Chicago at Lollapalooza 2010.

So far am finding Little Dark Age to be a great complement to their first hits.

And since the show is at The Anthem, you know it will be huge, so don’t miss out!

Get your tickets for March 15th here.

Tickets are $45 GA ($75 for Super Excellent Seats). Doors open at The Anthem at 6:30pm. Show at 8:00pm. Opener is Matthew Dear.
