Yumi Zouma return to DC on October 24th!
From New Zealand, Yumi Zouma are touring this time around for their second album, Willowbank.
I played their first album, Yoncalla, an inordinate amount in 2016, and enjoyed their concert at DC9 enough to list it in my top 10 shows of year AND put Yoncalla in the top albums of the year!
Their dreamy pop single from the new album, “Depths (Pt. 1)”, reminds one of flashy disco-era roller skating and sweet cotton candy. Or I’m weird. Their fourth single, “Half Hour”, is good listening while strolling around on a warm night.
The band is Sam Perry, Christie Simpson (vocals), Josh Burgess and Charlie Ryder (guitar).
