Songs to get you through the pandemic.

Karen Jonas just released her first single from the upcoming album, The Southwest Sky and Other Dreams (due in August 2020). Karen is a folk and country artist from Fredericksburg. For some reason I’ve been gravitating towards country songs recently, so this works out.
“Tuesday” is a pure country song about dreaming about the next place, but accepting your responsibilities and making the most of it. Karen continues her trusty theme of referencing whiskey, and promotes sleeping in on Tuesdays.
In the music video Karen is joined by fellow performer Tim Bray and the rest of her band hamming it up, and was filmed at the perfect locale, an empty Pearl Street Warehouse.
We caught Karen at the very same Pearl Street Warehouse earlier this year, with many more people in attendance, when live concerts were a thing we all took for granted. Pretty great show, here was the review.
