More local live streaming concerts!
As part of the ‘Caged Byrd Series’, Songbyrd Music House will host two local artists, Elizabeth II and Cat Janice, for an Instagram Live concert on Thursday, April 9th!
We will continue to highlight local artists as they perform live during the ‘stay-at-home’ order. This concert will happen at 8pm.
Elizabeth II is a bluesy rock band based in DC, comprised of Beth Cannon (on lyrics and guitar) and her band. Some have likened her vocie to a youthful Stevie Nicks. We missed them at the Pie Shop on March 13th, as that was the first day that almost all concerts venues were closed. (Good News: That show is re-scheduled to July 18th.) Beth does a series of guitar covers and original songs on her Instagram page as well. Check out @elizabethiimusic.
Cat Janice is also from DC, with a jazzy, soulful sound, her style sometimes is likened to Amy Winehouse or Alice Merton. She has also been nominated for three local WAMMIE Awards for best rock artist and song and best pop song.
