A new ‘supergroup’ of rich folk and Americana sounds, Bonny Light Horseman, will perform at Songbyrd Music House on February 4th!

Word is spreading fast, as the Songbyrd show already sold out. Their debut self-titled album (via 37d03d Records) comes out on January 24th. The songs are about re-imagining traditional folk songs, as well creating a few new ones.

A song after their own heart, “Bonny Light Horseman”, is a powerful, yet melancholy ballad about losing a lover during the Napoleonic Wars. “Deep In Love” is a more upbeat plea for someone to not break your heart, that was recorded in one take.

The band is Anais Mitchell (creator of the Tony Award-winning Hadestown), Eric D. Johnson (of Fruit Bats) and Josh Kaufman (a producer for The National and Hiss Golden Messenger).

Tickets are SOLD OUT. But keep an eye out for more tickets and download their album on Jan. 24th.

Tickets were $17. Doors open at Songbyrd Music House at 7pm. Show at 8pm. Opener is Erin Rae.
