Spectacular views and music!
The Kennedy Center has started a new free Summer Rooftop Happy Hour Series, and they are pretty cool, running from 5-8pm on the Roof Terrace.
We were at the first one in June, and highly recommend taking a minute to enjoy yourself on their rooftop, for stunning views of the Potomac River, Georgetown and the Mall.
But mostly for the music. On Thursday, July 11th Kennedy Center and Ritmos Raros will host Immigrant Sounds Rooftop Party. It will feature Neal Becton (Som Records) & Marcello Bentine (Batida DC) and Sir Ramases (Afro Ritmo Records). You’ll get the rare rhythms of Africa, Latin America, India, Caribbean, Brazilian, and more all in one epic dance party.
Plus! There is also a featured brewery giving free samples of a couple of their stellar beers. This time it will be 3 Stars Brewing.
Why go? Okay, let’s recap. Great, lively music. Free beer samples. Amazing views (see the photo above). And you can dance or just chat with friends and enjoy yourself. It’s free.
