Once again, the free Friday Night Concert Series is happening down at Yards Park.
This is the 9th year the Capitol Riverfront Bid has hosted this concert series. The concerts have already begun, even if you haven’t made it yet, you have plenty more opportunities this summer.
Like this Friday, June 28th, why not check out the Virginia native and Americana singer/songwriter Justin Trawick? Justin also organizes ‘The 9 Songwriter Series‘ around DC and area, showcasing ‘9’ great local bands or artists each month or so. He’s also joined on Friday by Country Current, the U.S. Navy’s bluegrass and country band.
Hint: Expect blue skies on Friday, along with your blue grass.
Why this concert series? It’s outside and free, with a good and diverse range of local music, as if you had to ask.
Expect it to get very busy, so do go early if you want a spot for your picnic.
