Another bobblehead so soon?
Let’s do it. The fifth (of eight) Nationals bobbleheads gets handed out at the Friday, June 21st game vs. Atlanta. The first 25,000 fans to Friday’s game wins their very own Max Scherzer bobble.
Speaking of winning, Max got an impressive 2-0 victory on Wednesday, all the better because he pitched with a broken nose! In 2019, he’s 6-5 with a 2.62 ERA and 146 strikeouts. Max has been great all year, while the team around him has struggled. But we have hope for a full team turnaround.
This weekend is a big series, as the Nationals are chasing the Braves in the standings, currently 8 games behind the 1st place Braves in the NL Eastern Division.
Both the Nationals and the Braves are surging of late, so you could be in for some exciting baseball (no rain, no rain, no rain).
The pitching match-up on Friday will be intriguing. The Braves will likely send out Dallas Keuchel, who will make his Braves debut after signing a hefty contract to bolster their playoff run, and the Nationals will have Steven Strasburg, looking to rebound from a poor performance.
Let’s play ball.
Tickets start at $15 and up. Game at 7:05pm at Nationals Park.
