Folk harmony at its finest!

The Wild Reeds return to DC with their harmonies and folk stylings on April 16th at U Street Music Hall. They are promoting their third album, Cheers, which just released on March 8th.

The Los Angeles indie folk band, with traces of rock and country, started in 2014 and is led by the vocal harmonies of three women, Kinsey Lee, Mackenzie Howe and Sharon Silva. The five-piece band is rounded out by Nick Phakpiseth on bass and Nick Jones on drums.

Their first single, “Lose My Mind”, is blues and soaring harmonies and haunting musical refrains, and something you will want to listen to on repeat.

“Don’t Pretend” is a gut-punch about living through illness, wrapped in the trappings of a country song, without the twang.

They last came through DC a year ago, so time to check out their new material!

Get your tickets here.

Tickets are $15. Doors open at U Street Music Hall at 7pm. Opener is Valley Queen.
