The Capitals play the Carolina Hurricanes, and are in fine position to get the chance to defend their Stanley Cup title. They currently sit in 2nd place in the Metropolitan Division, behind the New York Islanders, and are 5 points clear for a playoff spot. With 19 games left and some fierce parity in the Eastern Conference, every game and every point is critical in the coming weeks.
