Head over to Union Stage on March 4th, and enjoy the rock, alt-country of multi-talented Cass McCombs.
Cass’ ninth album, Tip of the Sphere, just came out in February, and he’s ready to play his new songs for you. A great guitarist and songwriter, he started out in San Francisco, releasing his first EP in 2001.
New songs like “Sleeping Volcanoes” prove to be a dreamy, meditation of what lies beneath the surface in each of us, not the fake facade we may see, but something much more explosive.
“Absentee” weaves a heartbreaking plea to bring someone back into a relationship with a leisurely, airy stream of piano, drums and Cass’ falsetto.
If you haven’t been to Union Stage on The Wharf by now (who are you?!?), definitely use this concert to rectify that oversight.
Get your tickets here.
Tickets are $20. Doors open at Union Stage at 6:30pm. Show at 7:30pm. Opener is Sam Evian.
