New York’s finest rock band returns to DC!

The indie rock, post-punk Sunflower Bean comes to The Anthem on February 15th to open for their fellow New Yorkers, Interpol.

We gave them an Honorable Mention for the best concerts of 2018 (read the review) and they deserve your attention, especially after their debut album, Twentytwo In Blue, was so fantastic.

Sunflower Bean is Julia Cumming (vocals and bass), Nick Kivlen (guitar and vocals) and Jacob Faber (drums).

They’ve been busy, even with touring they just released a new EP of four songs on January 25th, called King of the Dudes.

From the EP, “Come For Me” is forceful and melodic, and Julia greets us with the gravely growl of a Joan Jett. “King of the Dudes” is a rockabilly take on going for what you want.

And since Interpol is also good, what you want is to be at this concert at The Anthem!

Get your tickets here.

Tickets are $40-55. Doors open at The Anthem at 7pm. Opening for Interpol.
