The 10th Anniversary of DC Beer Week is coming soon!
DC Beer Week events, presented by The DC Brewers’ Guild, are always a good time. It could be just me, but there seem to have been fewer and fewer in recent years. Time to start drinking more beer.
The Lager Fest @ City Winery that kicks off Beer Week on Sunday, August 19 looks like a winner. Also intriguing are the DC Brau Game Night @ The Eleanor on August 22 (mostly because I haven’t been there yet), and Brewer’s on the Block @ Union Market on Saturday, August 25th.

It’s heartening to see a few events that look cool already, but the full calendar is still expanding, so stay tuned for more as the week draws near.
Finally, this year’s celebration beer (brewed just for DC Beer Week) is Solidarity Beer, a German Style Pilsner from Atlas Brew Works (ABV 5%). It will start flowing in places near you soon. Also, you’ll be able to buy it in cans.
