Don’t hate Bryce Harper because he’s a Las Vegas Golden Knights fan.
Okay, you can a little bit, but mostly come out and root for the Nationals and get yourself a Harper booblehead! Only two more bobble giveaways left this season.
On Friday, July 6th, the first 25,000 fans can get their hands on the Bryce Harper Patriotic bobble, and hopefully dress it up in Washington Capitals Stanley Cup gear.
Bryce is hitting home runs like nobody’s business (21 – 8th overall in MLB), but he has a meager .215 batting average. He’s also getting a fair number of walks (68). Even so, it’s frustrating for him to have what is perceived as a poor hitting season, in a time when the Nationals are not playing well.
The Nationals are below .500 for the first time in a very long time. They went 10-16 in June and have lost five in a row. Ugh. Even the dominant Max Scherzer has been a bit off in recent weeks, losing four games in a row for a 10-5 record on the season.
On the plus side! Juan Soto was named the NL Rookie of the Month for June! He hit .317 (26-for-82) with six doubles, six homers, 15 RBI, 18 walks and 19 runs scored in 24 games.
Let’s root for the Nats to get back on track!
In addition on July 6th:
* Justin Trawick and The Common Good perform at the Budweiser Terrance starting at 5pm.
* If you miss the bobblehead when you enter, just spend $200 at the Main Team store and you get one!
* The Nationals is honoring communities and leaders who make up DC. This game they will welcome Councilmember Robert White.
Get your tickets here.
Tickets start at $15 and up. Game at 7:05pm at Nationals Park.
