Eat This: Southern Fried Chick-Filet @ Right Proper Shaw Brewpub

Right Proper’s Southern Fried Chick-Filet

Eat more chicken!

I used to go to the Right Proper Shaw Brewpub more often, and my go-to dinner option was their Southern Fried Chick-Filet sandwich ($13).

The style of the sandwich belongs in the same conversation as a regular Chick-fil-A sandwich, but a smidgen fancier.

It’s good. In addition to very crispy chicken and pickles, Right Proper’s version also has lettuce, tomato and a spot of creamy boursin cheese spread on a brioche bun.

I should really try more items from their menu each time I go to the Right Proper Shaw Brewpub, but sometimes I just want one thing and one thing only.

The fries on the side is a solid choice, but this time I went with the sweet mustard potato salad. That’s my innovation for the day.

Wash it down with a fine Right Proper beer. Maybe an old standby like Raised by Wolves (Pale Ale, ABV 5%) or Häxan (Porter, ABV 7%).
