Don’t miss Liz Cooper & The Stampede opening for Houndmouth at the 9:30 Club!
This folk and rock trio perform in DC just two days after their first appearance at Firefly Music Festival. They are touring for their debut album Window Flowers, to be released in August via the band’s own label, Sleepyhead Records.
The band formed in Nashville and is Liz Cooper plus The Stampede, aka Grant Prettyman (bass) and Ryan Usher (drums). Liz grew up locally in Baltimore and went to college on a golf scholarship before switching to a full-time musician.
Window Flowers includes the single “Mountain Man”, a sweet folk song about growing old with someone, and “Hey Man”, which feels like a sultry rock jam.
