Bummers and Big Deals (11/10/17)

Hellbender Brewing Company
Hellbender turns three!

Some cool things, but also a few that suck.

This post is light on content, since I was traveling for work and took a couple days off too. See why at the end. Yet, you have to respect the churn of blogging, lest you be found wanting.

Big Deals

New coffee shops opening in NoMa and H Street NE. We’re getting two Peet’s Coffee shops, one next week next to the Whole Foods. (Eater DC)

Bar Elena opens on H Street NE, taking over the former space of Boundary Road. Time to try the Spaghetti Sandwich! (Eater DC)

Hellbender turns three! Go to their party on Nov. 18th. (Party)

Lot’s of awesome concerts coming up as we close out 2017, including Silversun Pickups on Nov. 14th. (Top Concerts)

DCist closes down! Holy cow, thankfully they have since made available the archives. A big blow to DC’s news and blogging community.
