(Editor’s note: This festival will not take place on July 21-23 and has been postponed; further details as they are released.)
A new music and arts festival, a mere 4-hour drive from DC, is coming in July. The Karoondinha Music & Arts Festival in Centre Hall, Pennsylvania will offer over 80 bands over three days.
Bonus! There is a cave to explore and lots of wildlife (the non-human kind).
Karoondinha (pronounced Ka-roon-din-ha) is just over one month away (July 21-23), so don’t risk waiting until it sells out!
Of the many bands and artists you could witness, I’m eager to see Paramore, Broods, PVRIS, Young the Giant, Chromeo and The Roots.
The general rule on whether you should attend a festival is often: Are there at least 10 bands/artists you would want to see? If yes, do it!
With the rise of festivals around the country, this one also has the benefit of a beautiful natural setting (at Penn’s Cave & Wildlife Park), a strangely fun name to say five times fast, and still within a reasonable distance from DC.
Plus making it to the first edition should provide a good story to impress your friends!
Get your General Admission tickets here. (Note: This link will get you $25 off of a 3-day pass!)
Tickets are $299 for a 3-day pass ($699 for VIP) or $99 for a single day – Fri, Sat or Sun.
