Dorothy is ready to rock the 9:30 Club on January 14th!
The band Dorothy is a hard rock (bluesy) band from Los Angeles, and formed in 2014. They released their first album, Rockisdead, in 2016 and have a second album coming soon, although I cannot determine the title as of yet. The first single is the rollicking “Down to the Bottom”, and I have to say I like it. I like it a lot.
I caught Dorothy open for The Struts at the 9:30 Club in 2016, and have been looking out for them ever since. They did visit DC in early 2017, but I regretfully missed that show.
Another epic rock song you should acquaint yourself with before buying your 9:30 Club tickets is “Raise Hell”, which I feel like doing after a listen, and I might get around to after my head stops moving.
The band is Dorothy Martin (vocals and face), Jason Ganberg (drums), Nick Maybury (guitar), Eli Wulfmeier, and Eliot Lorango (bass).
