Do This: The Beast is Back! (10/10/26)

Are you ready?

14 years of Snallygaster! The greatest of all beer festivals returns to DC on October 10, 2026. Tickets go on sale on July 7th.

This year will prove to be the time of your life once again. You can expect around 175 breweries pouring their fine wares in the form of over 450 beers, ciders, and other fine beverages. And if you didn’t know, it is the biggest and beastliest beer festival on the East Coast.

Check out the current Brewery list (so far).

We will update this post as more details are forthcoming, including the map of each brewery’s location. And we will do our annual “Jeff’s Beer Sheets”, a comprehensive guide of all the beers based on preference, shortly before the big day. Here is last year’s beer sheet. Beer enjoyment planning is fun.

Why this beer festival? It is the best beer festival in DC. The Neighborhood Restaurant Group (NRG) brings to life the excellent beer programs at Bluejacket, Churchkey, The Sovereign, Shelter (The Roost), and a few more. NRG puts a lot of effort into curating the Snally beer list, including many rare options, and beers from around the USA or the world. Many of our favorite breweries from last year are returning including; Cantillon, Drekker, Fidens, Finback, Ill will, Monkish, Mortalis, and Timber, to name a few. There is also a healthy list of NEW breweries that we are looking forward to including; 3 Floyds, Hop Butcher, Lawson’s Finest, Toppling Goliath, and Weldwerks.

Greg Engert (Beverage Director & Partner for Neighborhood Restaurant Group) says, “With the Capitol building as the backdrop, Snallygaster will once again offer an unforgettable beer drinking experience. This year’s list is proving to be the most impressive yet, with countless new breweries and rare beers on hand for the occasion. Even better, we’re expecting a huge number of the brewers themselves to join us, including many traveling from overseas, and they’re all excited to pour their offerings for our guests.”

It is held along Pennsylvania Ave NW (between 3rd and 7th) and you pay a flat fee, with all you can drink beer samples included. Food costs extra. And there is plenty of music. See below.

Snallygaster will benefit Arcadia Center for Sustainable Food & Agriculture, a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating a more equitable and sustainable local food system in the Washington, DC area. The brainchild of Neighborhood Restaurant Group Founder Michael Babin, Arcadia has a production and demonstration farm, a program to train military veterans to be farmers, field trips and farm camp for school children, and a Mobile Market program that sells affordable, convenient high-quality food in low-income, low-food access neighborhoods. Snallygaster is the nonprofit’s largest annual fundraising event. All us beer enthusiasts get to enjoy imbibing beer with the added bonus of helping others. This is the way.

Snallygaster will be held on October 10th this year.

Tickets go on sale on July 7th at 10am.

Check for tickets on the Snally website when they go on sale.
