Here’s our highly curated, never matched since 2017 list of concerts for the month of April. If you’ve been skipping concerts in 2023, stop that immediately and give some of these artists a chance!

The 35th Annual Wammie Music Awards @ Capital Turnaround (4/1/23) Sold Out (Not a concert, but a celebration of DC’s local music scene.)

Sophie B. Hawkins @ The Hamilton (4/1/23)

Titus Andronicus @ Black Cat (4/4/23) (Not just a Shakespeare tragedy, but also a New Jersey punk rock band shredding since 2005 and touring for their seventh album, The Will To Live (via Merge). Get there!).

Bikini Kill @ The Fillmore Silver Spring (4/4 & 4/6/23)

Worriers @ Comet Ping Pong (4/5/23) (This NYC punk rock band is touring for their fourth album, Warm Blanket.)

VÉRITÉ @ Union Stage (4/8/23) (Indie pop artist VÉRITÉ (aka Kelsey Regina Byrne) released her third album last year, Love You Forever (via Indepedent). Go to the show, you will enjoy!)

Lucius @ Rams Head Live (4/12/23) (Head to Baltimore for the excellent harmonies of Lucius! Here is our review of a previous show.)

Codeine @ Black Cat (4/14/23) (This 1990’s indie rock (also referred to as slowcore) band returns for their first show in DC in 30 years! Let’s slowly rock!)

The Owners (opening for Fake Names) @ Black Cat (4/16/23) (The Owners are the owners of the Black Cat plus a couple employees.)

Soul Meets Body, KINDA EVIL, Quicksilver Dream @ Pie Shop (4/16/23) (Three local DC bands, should be a fun night. I can attest to KINDA EVIL being legit!)

The Batman Live in Concert @ Warner Theatre (4/22/23) (The soundtrack to the film The Batman performed live in this traveling ‘DC In Concert’ series. DC as in Detective Comics, of course, not our city.)
