We miss live concerts.

It’s been a year since we could last attend concerts in DC, so to honor our city’s fantastic music scene, here is a little pictorial ode to a few of DC’s music venues.

The last live concert I was able to witness was Yumi Zouma at DC9 on March 12, 2020.

Part 1

Did a bit of a city walk-around, and started with some of the venues where I more recently witnessed a show in 2020 (or late 2019).

– 9:30 Club
– Pearl Street Warehouse
– DC9
– Pie Shop
– Sixth & I
– Black Cat
– Lincoln Theatre
– The Anthem

Last concert at the 9:30 Club: The Districts (3/10/20)

Last concert at Pearl Street Warehouse: Sweethearts of Americana (1/23/20)

Last concert at DC9: Yumi Zouma (3/12/20)

Last concert at Pie Shop: Stonefield (11/12/19)

Last concert at Sixth & I: Bat For Lashes (2/18/20)

Last concert at the Black Cat: Twin Peaks (12/11/19)

Last concert at the Lincoln Theatre: Mandolin Orange (11/14/19)

Last concert at The Anthem: Fitz and The Tantrums (2/14/20)

Part 2

Just as we started March, let’s end it with another round of the music venues of DC plus the last concert I witnessed at the venue.

– Songbyrd Music House
– Rhizome DC
– Union Stage
– Slash Run
– Rock and Roll Hotel (RIP)
– U Street Music Hall (RIP)

Used in my Tuesday  #whereindc game.

Until next time.
