Indie rock band The Districts hits up the 9:30 Club on March 10th!

The Philadelphia band has been around for just over 10 years and is comprised of Rob Grote (vocals and guitar), Connor Jacobus (bass), Pat Cassidy (guitar) and Braden Lawrence (drums).

Their fourth album, You Know I’m Not Going Anywhere, hits your favorite music buying spots on March 13th on (via Fat Possum).

According to Rob: “This album was written as an escape and as reassurance. I was falling in love with someone new and trying to juggle this desperate desire to escape with the need to show up in my life. It’s pretty damn hard to be present and completely checked out all at once. It felt like much of my world had reached such a pitch that all I could do was try to tune it out. I felt really uncertain about the future of the band and super detached from much of what I used to identify with, on a personal level and with our music. I was thinking, ‘Do I want to keep doing music?’ ‘Do I want to keep doing it in this context?’”

One single released in 2020 is “Cheap Regrets”, a bouncy ode to self-reflection and how our culture reinforces our own needs, highlighted by Rob’s understated and semi-spoken lyrics. The first single “Hey Jo” is a little bit emo, navigating the changing landscapes of our relationships.

This should be a great show, so go!

Get your tickets here.

Tickets are $20. Doors open at the 9:30 Club at 7pm. Opener is And the Kids and Sixteen Jackies.
