Be bold, Scythian returns for their annual (near) Holiday season concert!
Head over to The Hamilton Live on January 4th, and experience this DC band in all their glory. They always put on an amazing show, performing songs of Celtic and Eastern European traditions, and a little bit of Appalachian.
I’ve now witnessed them perform live over 10 times in local concert venues (not counting all the free or $5 shows at Finn McCool’s or Fado when they first started out), and I’ve never walked (or danced) away disappointed. Here is a review from their set at ShamrockFest in 2018.
Founded by brothers Alexander (vocals, violin, mandolin, etc.) and Danylo Fedoryka (vocals, guitar and accordion), the current line-up also includes Ethan Dean (bass) and Fritz McGirr (drums and percussion.(Editor’s Note: Fritz is no longer worth the band)
Their latest album from 2018 is a ‘Best of’ compilation called Dance. All. Night. By all metrics you should get this because it is great.
Don’t miss the show!
