You may have missed your chance, but make an effort to get to the two shows by Caamp at the 9:30 Club on December 14 and 15th January 30th and 31st!
(Editor’s Note: Due to one of the band members being sick the two shows have been re-scheduled for 2020.)
Both shows are sold out, but we always believe in your ability to get tickets.
Caamp is a folk rock trio from Columbus, Ohio, comprised of Taylor Meier (lead vocals, guitar, and drums), Evan Westfall (harmony vocals, banjo, guitar, drums, and percussion) and Matt Vinson (bass, harmony vocals and guitar). The variety of instruments leads one to believe they like to switch it up and share the live duties. They also love to slip in the acoustic guitar.
They are visiting DC on the strength of their second album, By and By, released in 2019 (via Mom + Pop Music).
The airy and positive “Peach Fuzz”, speaks to the nervousness and excitement of adolescent love, as it gives you a brief hint of Cornershop’s “Brimful of Asha”. The title track, “By and By”, is a twangy, countryesque ode to looking back at lost love, made all the more effective by Taylor yearning vocals.
Both shows are Sold Out. Maybe all is not lost! Resale sites are always an option, another is to use your Friends With Benefits points…
Tickets were $25. Doors for 1/30 open at the 9:30 Club at 8pm (Doors for 1/31 at 7pm). Opener both nights is Savannah Conley.
