Concert Pick: Phantogram @ The Anthem (9/6/19)

Get yourself over to The Anthem during the first week of September!

Seriously, three consecutive concerts you can’t miss, culminating with New York’s Phantogram on September 6th. (For the record: Of Monsters and Men (9/4), Jenny Lewis (9/5) and Phantogram).

Phantogram is the dynamic electronic rock duo of Sarah Barthel (on vocals and keyboards) and Josh Carter (on vocals and guitar). They have three albums under their belt (the last was Three in 2016), but they are dropping new material, like the single “Into Happiness”, which speaks to their personal journey in the three years since the last album. They just put out a new video for the song last week, and it exudes a sleek and dream poppy electronic purr, with Sarah’s catchy refrain of ‘wish you could be here’.

And you will wish you were at the show. After you listen to that song, put on “When I’m Small” and rock out. Then buy tickets.

Get your tickets here before they’re gone.

Tickets are $40. Doors open at The Anthem at 6:30pm. Show at 8pm. Opener is Bob Moses.
