Hill Country is alive with blues!
New York City’s blues and roots rock band, Daddy Long Legs, take over Hill Country on June 22nd, and as they say, there’s nothing better than barbecue and blues.
They are promoting their third album, Lowdown Ways, via Yep Roc Records, which charted at #4 on the Billboard Blues Album and #10 on the Alternative New Albums charts.
“Pink Lemonade” is delicious in general, but in music form is a slinky blues stomper, and “Glad Rag Ball” gives a mean harmonica, and a guttural and evocative roots rock song you need to play loud to enjoy fully.
The band is Brian Hurd aka Daddy Long Legs (vocals, guitar), Murat Akturk (guitars) and Josh Styles (drums, maraca).
