The DC food scene exposed.
For your enjoyment. The next iteration of Dine-N-Dash descends on DC on June 12th. This annual opportunity to taste from 30 restaurants in three neighborhoods is hosted by José Andrés, and features many local chefs like Kwame Onwuachi (Kith/Kin). It supports World Central Kitchen, a non-profit started by José.
A shuttle is available to get you between the neighborhoods (Penn Quarter, The Wharf and 14th St NW) as you try all the tastings offered at each restaurant. The ticket price is all inclusive of food and drinks.
Why spend the money? So many excellent options, but this year you have the added bonus of giving some of the newer restaurants down on The Wharf a try, like Mi Vida, Kith/Kin and Officina. At least, that would be my excuse if I hadn’t been yet.
